~A Women’s Retreat
Twenty-five women attended the Eighth Annual Women’s Retreat under the direction of Father John (Ivan) Maria and Presbytera Maria Emily Freishyn-Chirovsky February 19th through February 21st at Out Lady of the Pines Retreat Center in Fremont, Ohio. The retreat format was that of the traditional services of the Great Compline, the Acathist to Mary and Vespers culminating in the Divine Liturgy on the First Sunday of the Great Fast interspersed with didactic sessions with time for private prayer and reflection. The sacramental Mystery of Penance was offered.
WE WELCOME INTO OUR PARISH, ALEXANDER KARL CLEMONS WHO IS WEARING THE 100 YEAR OLD CHRISTENING GOWN FIRST WORN BY HIS GREAT-GRANDFATHER JOHN DANCHISEN. GOD-PARENTS ARE CHAD & ERIN CLEMONS. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALEXANDER'S PARENTS MARILEE & DAVID CLEMONS AND HIS ENTIRE FAMILY. THE BABY WILL BE CALLED "ZANE" HENCE THE SIGN AT JAMES TOWN TAVERN, WHICH IS WHERE A BRUNCH WAS HELD AFTERWARDS. MAY GOD GRANT BABY ZANE PEACE, HEALTH AND HAPPINESS FOR MANY BLESSED YEARS!
